Swiss Post toll services… priceless

[it: 18.- chf di spese per servizi doganali, da parte di Swiss Post, mi sembrano davvero tanti!]

You buy something on a website. You pay via credit card. Stuff comes with Swiss Post in few days (great service!). But the postman ask you to pay cash (no change) toll prices.

Example (real):

  • price of the goods = CHF 99.- (54 EU)
  • VAT = CHF 7.50
  • toll services by Swiss Post = CHF 18.-

Swiss Post asks a lot of money for this kind of services. What about free trade, e-commerce, and so on? I’d like that someone in Bellinzona or in Bern tries to do something.

I already wrote about this problem here (three years ago) and here (four years ago, in Italian). And, by the way: 54 euros are CHF 81.30 according to Google, right now.
