Switzerland is divided into three, er, four part. Anyway, watching the Swiss awards tv program, last Saturday, was really interesting. I learned a lot about Swiss cultural diversity. Some comments:
- the program was, as far as I understood, partly live and partly recorded;
- time optimization was very well performed: no useless talk or chat, no break, no long wait to know the winners
- Swissgerman love to sit at table, during tv show (in Italy it’s like a theatre, here it’s more a café)
- Swissgerman music taste are really terrible: who was that crazy man with a scottish kilt and punk hair, singing something in dialect
- Swissgerman loves fire and other special effects
- the organization of the stage was perfect, although the design was pretty 70s
- past winners are almost unknown in Ticino
- live comment/translation is a hard job but well done, although sometimes the Italian speech was not coherent with images
And the winner is… Evelyne Widmer-Schlumpf, one of the member of Swiss government. No sport this year.
