Email triage

[it: una tecnica per trattare i messaggi in entrata]

I do not get 300 email messages a day, but I have to deal with lot of email that are very important in my work. So I appreciated a lot the techniques described by Marco Camisani Calzolari in his blogpost.

I adapted his technique (derived by Getting Things Done) and I have:

  • Inbox: msg to be processed now
  • do_asap: msg that requires action, to do asap
  • do_slow: msg that requires action, to do less urgently
  • reply_asap: msg that requires only reply (without further work), urgent
  • reply_slow: msg that requires only reply (without further work), less urgent

Then I have other folder to archive the messages. I’ll try this way.
