[Italian abstract: un paper interessante su ciò che gli utenti fanno sul web. ]
Just read an interesting paper on the goals users have on the internet. Authors say that researches on online behaviour tendd to focus on the medium of the web. They propose “a user-oriented classification of online tasks that emphasizes the user’s goals without assuming the use of particular internet tools or technologies”.
The proposed classification has following tasks: locating, exploring, monitoring, grazing, sharing, notifying, asserting, discussing, evaluating, arranging, transacting.
I hope this will help me in defining users’ goals in searching.
