[Italian abstract: la nuova versione del plugin cocomment per Firefox ha alcuni problemi che mi hanno portato a disabilitarlo]
I disabled the Firefox add-on cocomment. My Firefox could not load anymore a group of fifteen tabs (something it did pretty well since I use Firefox). I lost half an hour to understand what was going on. Moreover, a floating icon wanted to stay on the screen. As far as I read, I’m not the only one: Asa Dotzler has a deep comment on this issue. I hope things will improve, since I’m very proud that Switzerland gave the blogosphere such a useful application.
Update, 9.8.2007: I’m using it again, it seems to work.

Marco: Appreciate your feedback and I apologize you’ve experienced some problems with coComment. We’ve been working hard at fixing the issues and I’d like to give you the latest update on progress with V2 Beta to date …
1. MyConversations: due to users’ requests, we reverted to ‘old’ accordion expanding design as preferred by user base, but in new look and feel
2. coComment Client: we reverted to using Version 1.0 everywhere except on the sidebar, so you should not have more site compatibility issues or errant buttons
3. Database fix: a corruption of our database has been discovered and we have now resolved this
4. Sidebar/Launcher/New coCobar: is being modified in response to user feedback (please let us know if you have more feedback)
Thanks for the feedback. We apologize unreservedly for any problems you’ve encountered. We are working flat out to resolve the problems as fast as we possibly can and we think, realistically, that coComment will once again be stable by the end of this week. In the meantime, feel free to e-mail me at kristina@cocomment.com with any questions or feedback. Thanks!
Thank you for you’re answer. I’m testing the Firefox cocomment plugin again and it seems to work.
